Adventure in the Native Bush

After learning about how to care for our landscapes, and especially the native bush, we turned a corner of our classroom into a little piece of forest, where the children can go to read poems about the land and the features found there. We have some native birds living in our little  forest and these help us with our reading. Here is one of the poems the children can read with their puppet friends. See if they can still read it to you.

Adventure in the Native Bush.

Over the river and under the branches
Slower and slower we go
Where are the insects and the forest animals?
Slower, slower, slow.
Cheep, cheep, cheep
the birds are calling
Green leaves rustling
Off we go!
