In the Pink

Today was Pink Shirt Day to support the anti-bullying movement. We looked very pink in our classroom and had some great talks about what bullying is.

Wow! What a bright class!

What is Energy?

We have been exploring what energy is and what kinds of energy we can think of. We have learnt a poem that explains what we have learnt:

Moving Things.

What makes things move? What makes things go?
It must be something that I don’t know!
What moves the trees? What moves a train?
What moves leaves along and down the drain

What moves our car? What moves a yacht?
What makes me move? (I move a lot!)
Is it something I can’t see?
Could it be something called ENERGY?

Anzac Ceremony

The ANZAC ceremony at school on Tuesday 28 April was a great opportunity to remember those who died in Gallipoli in 1915- exactly 100 years ago. Unfortunately the weather was not suitable for our usual outdoor event so we had it inside this time.

It was quite crowded in the Opawa Room.
