We started making compost in plastic bags at the beginning of term We are happy to say it is working well and should be ready to use in about 2 or 3 weeks. We have out in apple and fruit peelings, eggshells, sheep manure, straw and leaves. Every day we take it outside and open the bags to air them. We sometimes put a squirt of water in to make sure it is not too dry. Here are some photos of the process:
