ElGregoe, The Magician

ElGregoe was amazing and did some fantastic tricks. He also taught us some very important ways to have a happy time at school. He taught us big words like

Resilience
Honesty
Caring
Respect
Contributing
Abbie got to go up and helped ElGregoe when he was doing some tricks.
We wrote some stories the next day about what we liked best:

ElGregoe.
By Mikayla
I like ElGregoe.  He was talking to the bee. He said,”Don’t let the balloon go.” I laughed when he did.

ElGregoe.
By Ellik.
I like ElGregoe. He got the bird out of the big box when he clicked his fingers.

Our Class Treaty

On Monday of last week we all signed our class Treaty. We invited Mr Parsons to come and we read our treaty to him. Our treaty is a list of ideas we all came up with to make our classroom a safe and happy place. Here is what we decided:
*We will walk when inside the classroom.
*We will use quiet voices inside.
*We will always tell someone if we have to go out of the classroom.
*We will share our games and activities in class. (But not our lunches!)
*We will be kind to each other.
*We will do what the teacher says.

We also read a very good story called "The Tree Hut Treaty".
Here is our class poem about our treaty:

                                                    Class Treaty

Here are some rules for us to share
We decided they are true and fair.
We’ve called it a treaty
We’ve signed our names
We hope other classes might do the same.

So if there’s a problem as we work or play
We can all solve it in our special way. ded they are true and fair.

A Walk in the Park

We liked climbing up the steps to this look-out.
We all managed to fit in this gazebo.
Here we are exploring in Pollard park.
It looked as though Archie's mum liked climbing up the rope web!!??

Santa's Grotto

We had a great time at Santa's Grotto and saw some beautiful decorations. We loved having to clap to make some of the Santas move. We heard a Christmas story and said some of our Christmas poems there too. We even got some "sweet dream dust" sprinkled on our heads.

Walk With Buddy class

Last Friday we walked to Cob Cottage along the Riverlands Cycleway with our buddies from Room 6. Then we crossed the highway and walked on down to the Malthouse Reserve by the river. It was a long way but we all enjoyed it. We had a special morning tea of ice creams and chocolate fish. Constable Buckley and Constable Lister came to stop the traffic so we could cross the busy road. We think they enjoyed the chocolate fish too!!

Have a Go Fun Day

Here we are having a go at things.

Even Harold had a go too. What a good runner he is!

Harold and the Life Education Classroom

We loved meeting little Harold in our Life Education lessons. We loved meeting Big Harold too at sports Day. We learned lots about ourselves and our amazing bodies. We also learned that we are all special VIPs and need to treat others as VIPs too.

Darling and Sophie show us some photos from Harold's photo album.

We introduced Harold to our little giraffe friend and he spent some time playing with her when we had gone back to class.

                                                                                    Genevieve talks to Harold.
Here we are inside the classroom.
