Have a Go Fun Day

Here we are having a go at things.

Even Harold had a go too. What a good runner he is!

Harold and the Life Education Classroom

We loved meeting little Harold in our Life Education lessons. We loved meeting Big Harold too at sports Day. We learned lots about ourselves and our amazing bodies. We also learned that we are all special VIPs and need to treat others as VIPs too.

Darling and Sophie show us some photos from Harold's photo album.

We introduced Harold to our little giraffe friend and he spent some time playing with her when we had gone back to class.

                                                                                    Genevieve talks to Harold.
Here we are inside the classroom.

A poem About Sounds

Noisiest, Quietest Thing.

What’s the noisiest thing you can think of?
What’s the noisiest thing you can think of?
One hundred birds chirping?
A great giant burping?
Ten soup slurpers slurping?
What’s the noisiest thing you can think of?

What’s the quietest thing you can think of?
What’s the quietest thing you can think of?
Grass growing?
Snow snowing?
A soft breeze blowing?
What’s the quietest thing you can think of?

What is Sound?

Here are some of our initial ideas as we start this Inquiry:

What is Sound?
By Darling.

Sound is music. Some sounds are low and some sounds are high. Sounds are loud or quiet.

What is Sound?
By Emily.

I think it is a drum or a whisper. I like singing and listening. Sound can be low or high.

What is Sound?
By Archie.

It’s lightning hitting a house or someone banging on a drum. It is someone going up the stairs or someone banging in a nail. It is someone singing and the wind whistling.

What is Sound?
By Dakoda.

What is sound?
It is thunder and lightning.
Is it a hammer or a train?
Is sound a drum going Bang! Bang! Bang!
Or storms in the sky?
Sound can be loud.
It can be low.
Sound is fun to make.

What is Sound?
By Sophie O.

Sound is a word that bounces back to you. It is something that you say and it can come back in an echo.
